1. Why do I do Mail outs ?

Companies do mail outs for many reasons. Advertising / Newsletters / Flyers / Invoicing / Price Lists and many more. It's been found to be the best form of advertising mainly due to your customers being able to have your information in a printed form that can be filed and or kept in view for later use. It's also a common fact that sending out more than one promo gets 80% more result than one piece of promo sent out at one time.
 
2. How do I start my mail out ?

1. First you need to have a customer list in a digital format (in excell, text or CSV (comma separated values) or you can purchase a list from a data center eg: MAILING LISTS
2. Then you need to have an idea, start with a rough drawing and go from their, if you are graphically challenged we have designers on stand-by that can come up with a fantastic presentation at your request. 3. When you have your idea ready, we will Print / Pack & Delivery your idea direct to your customer database
   
3. You have hundreds of invoices and statements ?

If you are spending more than one day sending out all your invoices or statements to your customers, and your company doesn't have the luxury or resources to do this then we have the answer. We will work with you to generate the invoices in a way that we can bulk mail them out ON TIME - EVERY TIME.
   
4. What do I do if I need help ?

Are you in need of help even getting started with your campaign. Let us do the whole job for you. We can come up with the idea, data and design, then mail or email the whole campaign to your customer list.
   
5. How much does it cost to do a Mail Out ?

It's quite simple,we will give you a written quote as soon as the artwork is approved, The quote will show every cost broken down so you can analyze it and get the best value of your mail out Most standard letters will cost less than $1.00 from start to finish.
   
6. How do I pay for my Mail Out ?

We accept all payment methods for Mail Out Services. A deposit of 50% is required before we start your mail out and when it's ready to be delivered the remainder is to be paid before shipping.
   
7. Can I supply my own materials ?

Yes, if you have your own paper or envelopes then we are happy to work with them. But your materials must comply with us and our machines. If you don't supply the correct materials we can still do the job but a premium will be paid. 8. What if I have really Bad Data or No Data ?

If you have bad data, it can be cleaned, you may loose a lot of customers but it's a good start. I would suggest that you keep your customer databases in good order by making sure you update them correctly with Firstname, Lastname, Address, Suburb, State, Postcode. When it comes to doing your mail out, you will have more reliable data to work with. If you have no data or just want to test a new client base, you can purchase data from good sources that guarantee your dollar per customer.
   
9. Can I send out my Promo Via Email ?

Yes, we have an E-Promo system at Bigmailout that will convert your promo into HTML and send it to your clients. The cost is about $0.07 per email that we send. But remember, at the moment most Email-outs get about a 30% view rate. 30% are opened / 30% are Spam Filtered / 30% are Never Even Looked at. To get greater odds you could also purchase email addresses of people that have agreed to read them to get a better read conversion.
   
10. What sort of response should I expect from my mail out ?

This is a hard one to answer, it all depends on the advertising experience you bring to your customer. If it's pink it could only get read by girls, if it's full of text, it may have too much information and only get read by people that like reading lots of information. So You have to make an informed decision as to how and what you will send out to your customers. Here is a quick template that may help ..
   
11. How Long does it normally take to send mail out ?

Mail out's can be easy, but most of the time something comes up and you just have to deal with it. In the Ideal World all mail would be a simple PRINT / FOLD / POST but it's never that easy. We have put in processes that take care of items that just pop up.

Most of the time the information from the client is not correct, for example 1 page turns into 2 or 2 colour process turns into 4 etc.. so we try and ask all the right questions when we first quote on a mail out, but by the time we have seen the artwork and the data, it sometimes involves a little more work. We have seen this all before so be assured we know how to get your promo out in an efficient manor. Printing is the longest process in most mail outs so it's good to prepare well in advance if you have timesensitive material going out. No Mail house in the Country likes it when the customer lands on the door and wants the mail out Tomorrow. Although for the right price "The Customers Always Right"

Good planning on your behalf will make for a good mail out So allow your-self a good 10-14 days from the time your artwork is finalised to getting the mail to your customers.
